Success Can’t Give You Happiness, Only GROWTH Can!

As I am writing this, I am also doing my last but one children camp in INDIA!  Yesterday was the  “Transformation Day” and it was a great experience.  I just spent the whole day with wonderful set of children.   May be i should have done several hundreds of ‘Total Truth Process’ to thousands and definitely what we had yesterday was a unique experience.  People who have coaches before  should know what I am talking about.  Every child is unique and every experience does not have any parallel.

Today is the last day, the ‘Inspiration Day’.  What we do today?  Children step out to create their exam goal posters and their life plan.  Through this process they join the 3% of the people in the world who have structured their goals, who have a written plan for their life.  What difference this can make in their life?  Incredible difference!  Some you should be knowing what happened in the Yale University?

In the year 1953, in Yale University there was a survey done with the outgoing graduates. All the outgoing students have been asked the question:  What is it you want to do in your life? Out of all the students almost 97% of them said “I dont know” and the remaining 3% have created their life plan and they were very clear what they wanted in life.

20 years later the study continued to find out what those students do in their life.  They checked various factors and one of the factors what they were checking is ‘how much wealth’ those students have created in their life!   The 3% of students created three times more wealth than the remaining 97% of the students. Though it sounds only like 3 times actually it is more.  Assume the 97% together made 100 million $ and 3% made 300 million, in reality, the 100 million is shared by 97% of people and 300 million is shared by just 3% of people.  They were greatly successful in life.

Why?  Not because they got a better education or they are more lucky, just because they structured their goals in their life.  This story is what motivates me every time when I step in to share the strategies of creating their  goals!  Shortly I am going to be on stage to share with them the life changing strategies for  creating their GOALS and LIFE PLANS.

Today when I look back all the camps what we did in India for children, I just cant believe the path what I travelled.  It is hard to believe.  I never even in my dream thought I can train children or thought of doing it when we started training.  I thought that is the toughest task in the world!  I was greatly scared for the first time.  You what to know what more happened during our first camp?  Third day morning of the first camp was ‘Tsunami’  and I cant never forget that day.  4th day morning there was a rumor that one of the biggest political leader has passed away and the entire city was upside down.  There were lot of phone calls from parents are you going to postpone the camp? Can it not be done later?  etc.  We need to hold on and say, ‘Camp Will Happen!’  send your child please.

Today SK/ST camps are moments of joy, inspiration and happiness!  I love kids like crazy! I love every child who walk into the training hall!  Every camp has hundreds of miraculous moment! Children and parents belonging to 40 different nationalities go through the program and  we get this wonderful opportunity to empower more and more kids!

Though I know for life time I cant disassociate myself from training those angels,  when I decided to step of out doing Children camps in India, what is the emotion I am  going through right now?  Is it a Moment of

Joy?
Happiness?
Sadness?
Sorrow?
Incredible mix of emotions?

I know you will vote for the last choice – INCREDIBE MIX OF EMOTIONS.  Superbkids/Superbteens is one of my brain child, one program which made me understand how capable I am!, One Program which told me ‘Life Will Never Be the Same’.
Why this is the last camp for me in India?

You all know my fear!  How many more lives I will be able to empower in my life span? How many more people are there in this world who MUST experience OnlySuccess Training Program?  The gap is so high and it can no way come closer!

That is when I decided if I decide to do all by myself, I can train only little people, may be 15000-20000 in a year.  Always people come up to ask me ‘Vidya, why don’t you do this program in city or Town or village.  You name a city or town, there are people always wanted me to do this program. How to do it?  That too how to reach every part of our huge country?

We all know one thing:   “Anything is Possible, It is the question of right strategy!”

TRAIN AS MANY TRAINERS WHO CAN GIVE THE EXPERIENCE WHAT ME AND PRAVEEN CAN & CREATE AS MANY CENTERS AS POSSIBLE ALL CROSS THE COUNTRY!

So me training in India for the last the time is the first initiative.  It is a tough emotional decision but you all know once we control or conquer our emotions then only we experience GROWTH!

Me stepping out of training children in India also means, we have a strategy not to reach unlimited number of children in this Country who really deserve to be a CHAMPION in their life.

Are there times you have taken things for granted?  I am sure yes!  But this post is not about that.  This post is about have you ever felt you have been taken for granted?  I am sure the answer for this also is YES!!  When you feel you have been taken for granted, how you react?  I have seen the following reactions from people:

Just accept
Crib and cry
Shout back without any control
Or step out to say what they want firmly

I know you can easily understand the last reaction is the right one!  

You feel in control and you feel good by end of the process.  Assertiveness can do wonders in your life!  Being assertive is a skill and it is a gift.  

When someone steps on your toes what kind of reactions you will show?
1.  You say ‘Sorry’
2.  You again step on them with all your power (Tit for tat)
3.  Beat them badly
4.  Or that person says ’sorry’ to you and you tell them firmly ‘Be watchful next time’.

When someone steps on your toes and you say Sorry:

Some of you wonder will I ever do it.  I have seen so many times there are people who say sorry for somebody else stepping on their toes.  I mean in relationships, in business, in professional life and with family.  

Say for example in relationships, when you are waiting for someone for such a long time and finally they turn up much later than the time they have committed, you say sorry!  During the time when you were waiting for them what kind of emotions you go through?  You ask yourself ‘Is my time not valuable’, ‘By change if they have told me in advance I might have finished some more of my job and then come here’ etc.  You wanted to say ‘How come you came so late?’ but you never asked thinking the other person may feel hurt, but remember in the process you feel HURT.

In business, this is the biggest killer of speed.  People take you for granted and they feel it is only you!….  In partnerships!  They act as if they own the business and do make decision which you are suppose to make.  They assume you have to agree on the terms what they want and make you commit to so many things without they checking are you OK with those!  End of it you are being pushed into something which you know is not a Win-Win.  You keep nodding your head for their conditions because you dont want to hurt them or you are scared that may make the deal fall apart!  

I have come across business owners who cant pull the strings down and because of that they have been taken for granted.  When I was in sales, I used to have lot of prospects who are yet to be closed and they remain as prospects for a long time.  They are neither here not there. I cant say they will not give me business but I cant knock them out of my list.  My prospects list always used to look long but to that extent I never used to convert.  All these things changed till the time I met a guy by name ‘Shravan’ who was my boss some time.  He is a super expert in pulling down deals and he was so successful only because of that.  He always believed in ’shaking’ the customer.  You shake them with strict deadlines, offers which will become invalid in a month or two, time sensitive pricing, instant money down plan, etc etc.  All this to check how sure the deal is.  So that you dont spend time with people who dont have strategy to be your partner or customer.    

He thought me one of the greatest lessons in business:  ” In business you  must be assertive.  You must not feel bad to walk away from a deal to the next one.  Never hang on for something for so long because you are not only wasting your own time and effort but also your customer’s/ partner’s resources.”  This lesson changed lot of things for me.  My prospects list reduced to 20% form the time I turned assertive, but my closing percentage raised to 80%.  I was able to sell with pride instead of pleading for it.  Customers started respecting my time and effort.  Many of them started treating me as a consultant and not only a sales man!  A business man must know he never have a choice to give anything less to himself and to the business.  Never allow your customers and partners to take you for granted. 

I can list down times when I pleaded, agreed for all the demands of my customer, push all my internal teams so badly telling you guys cant understand what market wants etc. but still lost the deal straight for no reason except the customer turn suspicious about a deal which is too good to be true.

Also I can list down times when I have closed deals the way I wanted, with lot of pride, with a big smile in customers face!  I felt I am creating value for the customer and customer felt this is a great deal for me!  It was clear Win-Win deal which is just the outcome of the assertiveness of the sales guy.  In selling and even in building a partnership ASSERTIVENSSS makes a big difference for both parties.

With family, that is what creates the strength in minds of your family members, be it your kids or spouse.  You need to stand for your rights.  You need to say what you can do what you cant do.  That makes them stronger.  You can do all those things what your kids demand.  That makes them arrogant and adamant.  You can do every job of your spouse which makes them either ignorant or lazy.  

If one skill that can make a difference in your life is nothing else but standing for your own rights!
If you need to do good to your family, your boss, your customer or your partner, Be Assertive! 

It was a great moment to launch the Inner Health course on 15th of March 2008.  As you know I strongly associate the Inner Health with the wonderful flowers.  It is to be enjoyed and it can only be exprienced.  The experience of the having the great Inner Health is amazing.

We were fortunate to have one of the greatest personality for the Inaugural function Mr.Murali of Sri Krishna Sweets.   He was wonderful and his vibrations filled the hall.

He made so many management concepts simple.  It drove the messages straight to the heart.  On hearing about his speech there are lot of requests came up to me to share some of his wisdoms.  Definitely I will do the same shortly.  Once compiled it will help you to learn some of the greatest management concepts.

Inner Health has the great mission of providing the True Energy to the particpants.  It is about the two most significant things on Health - Body and Mind.  How mind has an influence on the health and how your body has unbelievable impact on your health.  Dr.Kousalya brought all her greatest knowledge on antiaging and lifestyle management on to the program.

I am back!!  It was an awesome show whoosh has organized to bring in Suhas Gopinath.  Suhas Gopinath is running a multinational organization with over 500 employees world wide operating in 11 countries.   How you expect him to look like?  See his picture below! 

Don’t think this picture was taken years back when he was young.  They were just taken day before when he was in OnlySuccess!  Suhas, is the youngest CEO of the world when he was 16.  Right now he is the final year Engineering student with MS Ramaiah Engineering College.  He started of his company  when he was just 14 and today Suhas is 21 and the CEO of Globals Inc.  and rocking the whole world.   He is the visiting faculty with Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - I know you will read this again- There are no typeo error, it is correct!

It is great to share with you all the camps what we did in Malaysia and UAE(Dubai and Abudhabi).    Total of about 300 children attended the program and no doubts it was an amazing experience. 

I have no words to express my gratitude to the law of Super Power Nature gifting me to touch the lifes of those kids.  Definitely everyone who steped in as coaches made an amazing impact on the show.  (Kavitha, Raja, Damodhar, Narendran, Baskaran, Madhan, Syed).    Keep up the passion coaches.

Today as I write this post OnlySuccess has established the direct office in Dubai. We planned to have our office in 2008! Have we achieved the goal much faster? Definitely YES! But the reality is we were forced to achieve it much ahead of time. What made us do it? Because life was totally unfair!

In Feb 2006 we really stretched ourselves to launch our program abroad. We partnered with a local company in Dubai. As expected and as per our strategy we took off really well. Like every location we were finding it difficult to accommodate people and courses were running full in all locations of UAE: Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. As you know wealth is a by-product generated when you do what you love the most. We generated huge wealth and by end of the year our partner had all the profits.

I am just sharing with you my yesterday’s preview experience. I did my best to give a most inspiring experience to every participant of the Preview. By end of the show there was a guy who came up. Interestingly he was also carrying my yesterday’s interview which appeared in Deccan Cronicle.

He was totally skeptical about the program because in the past he has attended several training programs which had not helped him any way. He was not there to join but just to see and end of it tell me Nobody can Change me! From his body language and his eyes it was very clear he was totally disgusted about self improvement programs. He was loud enough so that every one around me can hear. He said, Vidya, Say I join your program will you change me. Nothing can change me You will fail. So be straight will you Change me?.

I said, Sorry I cant change you! The saddest part is I don’t fail you are the one who fail!. He was bit stunned and toned down his voice, You cant change me? Then why should I join your program.

There is only one person who can change your life! That is YOU!! I know you have given up yourself totally. If I am harsh, I am sorry. But that is the reality. You make the choice to change. If BORN to WIN cannot change you nothing else will change you.

He decided to be part of BORN to WIN 12!
I envy him! He made the most powerful choice to be part of BTW.

It was really a great day! Today morning suddenly Ronaq (Superbkids/Superbteens Graduate) along with his mom walked into my office. I saw a huge cake in their hand. His mom said Vidya, Today is Ronaq’s birthday and he decided a week back that he will first come to OnlySuccess and then only start the day. He wants to share this day with you and members of OnlySuccess. Thanks for making him a Super Achiever.

It made our day. It was a small act but reinforces that there is a great purpose in what we do. I had no choice but the thank the Super Power Nature for the greatest with which I am gifted  Helping people to take charge of their life. I have been in the past invited for several functions as a chief guest but this small act from Ronaq made me feel totally privileged.
