Goals Changes Every Moment of Your Life
This pictures was hand drawn by a cartoonist for me! Goals change every moment of your life. You live to get what you dream of getting. That should create passion, enthusiasm and energy. There was a little girl who was 20th of 22 children, born prematurely for a poor family in the Backwoods of Tennessee. When she was four years old, she had double pneumonia and scarlet fever, which left her paralyzed and a useless left leg. She had to wear an iron leg brace. But she was fortunate to have a mother who told her, Don’t bother, you are very bright and definitely you will achieve whatever you want despite the brace and disabled left leg. At the age of nine, she removed her leg brace, and in four years she developed a rhythmic stride which was a medical wonder and she also became a basket ball player. Then the girl got an incredible notion that she should be the world’s greatest women runner!
At the age of thirteen she entered a race and came last. From that time onwards she entered every race in high school and came last in every race. But her passion towards what she wanted in life kept her energy levels high. Gradually she improved and there came a day when she won the race. From then on she won every race she entered. She was Wilma Rudolph who later went to Tennessee State University where she met her future coach Ed Temple. Ed was surprised by her belief and trained her so well that she made it to 1960 Rome Olympic Games. She had to run against the unbeaten German girl Jutta Heine. But Wilma made it. She won both 100 meter dash and 200 meters and became the world’s greatest women runner of that time!
In the 4 x 100 meter relay it was once again Wilma against Jutta. Wilma had a poor baton pass and saw Jutta taking off down the track. But Wilma still made it and clocked her third gold in that Olympic Games and became the first American women to win three gold medals in one Olympics.
When you know what you want from life and where you are heading, there will be unlimited energy within you and you will be passionate about all your activities.
