What Impacts Your Fitness? Stay FIT!

I am amazed at the kind of response for my previous blog posting. Several of you said it was useful and you have learnt a lot. As committed this blog is going to go deeper into the same thought of BODY and FITNESS. What really controls your fitness or you being fat?

FITNESS is 80% Psychology and 20% Mechanics.What I have always understood is when a person is fit is more to do Psychology (mind). If you ask me what is the hierarchy in which various forces influences your fitness, here it is:

1. IDENTITY: As you read in my previous posting, the most powerful force in the human history on ones body is the way you see yourself “ your identity. Who are you? Are you describing yourself as plum, fat, big, lazy, etc.? Check if the same is useful. If not change it today. Start giving yourself a more useful identity like energetic, fast, strong etc.


2. BELIEF: The next powerful force in the human life is the Belief about self (body) and food. What kind of beliefs you have? Right Beliefs are the thoughts that are useful. One of the popular useless beliefs I have come across about food and body is:

After food I feel sleepy “ Always I have come across this thought - several people strongly believe after food I have to feel sleepy. If you eat 3 times a day, you will feel sleepy almost for the whole day! Then definitely your day will not be great. So check is that a useful thought. If you feel it is not useful, throw away right now. You know why it not true?

-After food, by chance if you loose your wallet will you feel sleepy?
-If you hit a lottery for few million $ immediately after a heavy meal will you feel sleepy?
-After your food, if you are fired from job or get a promotion with incredible pay rise will you feel sleepy?Check is this thought always true !

3. WORDS: The words what you use on yourself intensify your feelings a lot. If you say:I am very tired, it is as if I am beaten up “ You know how it will be if you are beaten up? It will be terribly bad. But when you say it is as if I am beaten up, it is going to increase your intensity of tiredness. Stop telling something which has never happened.

My legs are going to break “ Is it really going to break? Several times I have heard this. Leg breaking is much worse than just paining. But many times people describe pain as my leg is going to break.

Hence say those words that are useful. I Say the following to myself everyday:

I am the VOICE
I am the FORCE of TRUTH
I believe I CAN
I am BORN to WIN
STEP UP!!

As I do it I know I am touched by a special force and I feel totally guided. These words give unbelievable strength to go through long hours of highly intensive training programs. Some of the programs I run for 50 hours in just four continuous days.

4. HABITS: Some of the habits that you have got into, check if they are useful. I have come across people who feel tired everyday morning. Primarily if you are feeling tired everyday morning check how much you ate the previous day night. A lot? Have you cultivated powerful habits like eating lots of fruits (obviously before food!), Exercising regularly and having control on the type of food you take? If not do it now.
